The Best TV Series Coming to Apple TV+ This Spring and Summer

At the beginning of every year, all streaming services announce their upcoming TV and movie releases to inform users of what’s to come. Well, on Feb. 5, Apple TV+ did exactly that as they released their upcoming release list for this spring and summer, which consisted of many new and returning series. To highlight some of these stellar shows, I’ve curated a list of the most anticipated series from the announcement. Without further ado, here are five of the best TV series coming to Apple TV+ this spring and summer:

When Apple TV+ released its 2024 spring and summer set list, its new series “Palm Royale” caught most users’ eyes as it consists of many sensational stars. This series follows Maxine Simmons (Kristen Wiig), who makes it her mission to get into one of the most elite and exclusive high societies. To secure her seat at the treacherous table, she must cross the line between the haves and have-nots, which causes Maxine to question how much she is willing to sacrifice for high status. From the amazing ensemble to the dazzling set design and costuming, this series seems to be the perfect spring watch as it immerses viewers into the sunny world of Florida in the ’60s.

“Palm Royale” will premiere on March 20.

When “Loot” fans heard that the series was delayed for the unforeseeable future, many were devastated. But now Apple TV+ has finally set the TV show debu, and it is arriving this spring! This series follows Molly (Maya Rudolph), who’s been married to tech billionaire John Novak (Adam Scott) for two decades. However, she discovers her husband is cheating on her and immediately files for divorce, resulting in her receiving $87 billion in a settlement. After traveling around the world to cope with her divorce, she decides to reengage with her forgotten charitable foundation to reconnect with the real world and try to find herself. With the return of amazing cast members Maya Rudolph, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez and Ron Funches, you can expect this season to bring many laugh-out-loud and shocking moments just like the first season did.

“Loot” season 2 will be available to stream on Apil. 3.

Mostly everybody adores the Peanut characters as most people can relate to the adoring cast. So, when Apple TV+ announced that the beloved Peanut character Franklin was getting a series revolving around him, fans were immediately ecstatic as he has yet to have his own TV special. “Welcome Home Franklin” will follow newcomer Franklin, who has trouble fitting in with the Peanuts gang. When he learns that the other kids are participating in a Soap Box Derby race, he believes winning the race will also mean winning over new friends. From the trailer’s sneak peek, this series seems to highlight the history of Franklin’s character in a heart-warming story while also fixing some wrongs made decades ago in the comics. As a result, this series is one you don’t want to miss.

“Snoopy Presents: Welcome Home Franklin” will be released on Feb. 16.

4.     “Acapulco” Season 3

It’s been almost a year since “Acapulco” season two released its last episode, and many viewers have been anticipating the new season as the finale ended with a huge cliffhanger. Well, Apple TV+ has finally announced that Acapulco season three is coming this summer! This series is a rags-to-riches story about how young Máximo Gallardo (Enrique Arrizon) accepts his dream job at Las Colina, the hottest resort in Acapulco, Mexico. He initially thought his new position would be smooth sailing. However, between his crush on the receptionist Julia (Camila Perez) and wanting better for himself, Máximo realizes that working at Las Colinas is far more complicated than he thought. Based on how the second season left off, viewers can expect the new installment to be a reconciliation for Máximo’s past mistakes and a chance for exciting new beginnings.

“Acapulco” season three premiere date is set for May 1.

5.     “Land of Women”

Following the success of Apple TV+’s “Lessons in Chemistry” book to TV series adaptation, many users were intrigued to hear that the streaming service is bringing another book to life. This time, the bestselling novel “Land of Women” by Sandra Barneda is being adapted into a TV show. This mini-drama series follows Gala (Eva Longoria) whose life is turned upside down after discovering her husband borrowed money from dangerous criminals. This forces Gala, along with her mother and daughter, to flee from New York to Spain in hopes of starting a new life and remaining hidden. The combination of Apple TV’s success with book adaptations and featuring the notorious TV drama star Eva Longoria from “Desperate Housewives” as the main lead, this series is one of those shows you definitely want to put on your 2024 watchlist.

Apple TV+ has yet to release the official date for “Land of Women.” However, the show is slated to debut sometime this summer.
