‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Character Rankings

Created by Dan Goor and Michael Schur, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is yet another fantastic NBC workplace comedy taking place in the 99th precinct of the NYPD. This amusing group of cops are not only great friends to each other but great protectors of the community in which they live — setting a good example for us all. For those who have seen the show, here is our rankings of our favorite Brooklyn Nine-Nine characters.

10. Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller) and Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker)

The laziest detectives in the precinct — and the hungriest — Hitchcock and Scully count as one character because one is not complete without the other. Without this dynamic duo, the team would be incomplete.

9. Adrian Pimento (Jason Mantzoukas)

Former detective for the 99th precinct, Adrian Pimento went undercover as an “A-List Mobster” for 12 years before moving on to other ventures. It’s always a pleasure when Pimento drops in and we get to see what shenanigans he’s been up to.

8. Cheddar (Stewart)

He may be just a dog, but he is still a star of the show. Captain Holt and his husband Kevin (Marc Evan Jackson) have taken great care of this adorable Pembroke Welsh Corgi. The attention and care of his owners has clearly paid off, being that he is so talented and well-trained — he even won the heist one year, remember that?

7. Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero)

The most organized and hard-working member of the group, Amy Stantiago has worked her way up the ranks all while progressing her relationship with Jake. She is an inspiration to women everywhere and we can’t wait to see her be a great mom to baby Mac in the upcoming season.

6. Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio)

A loyal friend and sidekick to Jake, a loving papa to Nikolaj and an active member for the large Boyle clan, we admire him for always being true to himself — no matter how annoying he may be.

5. Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg)

Former class clown Jake Peralta is not only the star of the series, but the heart of the Nine-Nine family. Without Jake there would be no Halloween heist or title of your sex tape interruptions. And there isn’t a doubt in our minds that he will be a great dad to his newly welcomed son Mac.

4. Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews)

Terry Jeffords, the man, the father and the legend is always there with a yogurt or dumbbell in hand to save the day and help out his friends — except if he has to be there for his daughters — they always come first.

3. Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz)

The baddest b**ch in the Nine-Nine, Rosa is always there to speak the truth. With her focus and commitment to the precinct, she rarely gets distracted from solving cases and making arrests.

2. Captain Raymond Holt (Andre B

Despite his hard shell, Captain Holt is the most loving man in the show. From his staff to Kevin and Cheddar, he has enough love and wisdom to go around.

1. Gina Linetti (Chelsea Peretti)

I don’t know about you but ever since Gina left the show at the beginning of season 6, I miss her every single episode. From her big ideas and crazy office antics, she always uplifted everyone in the precinct and exemplified self love and care.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is available to stream on Hulu and Peacock.
