Halloween is right around the corner, but don’t worry if you don’t have a costume yet. Here’s a list of seven costume ideas from popular media this year!
1. Coco Diablo and Velma, “Trick or Treat Scooby Doo”

Velma is a classic member of the Scooby Doo gang. In “Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo” Velma has a crush on Coco Diablo, a mischievous fashion designer. This duo is perfect for couples. All you need are red and orange turtle necks and large-frame glasses.
“Trick or Treat Scooby Doo” is available to stream on HBO Max.
2. The Sanderson Sisters,” Hocus Pocus 2”

“Hocus Pocus 2” was a highly-anticipated sequel all year, and it didn’t disappoint. This Halloween, pick your two best friends to make a group of three and revisit this iconic trio by dressing as the Sanderson sisters (Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler, and Kathy Najimy). This costume may take a bit longer to put together but would be iconic nonetheless.
“Hocus Pocus” 1 and 2 are available to stream on Disney Plus.
3. Jennifer Walters, “She-Hulk”

Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) is also known as She-Hulk. “She-Hulk” is a marvel smash hit that aired this fall on Disney Plus. All you need is green body paint, a green bodysuit, and a blazer to recreate her fierce look.
“She-Hulk” is available to stream on Disney Plus.
4. Wednesday Addams, “Wednesday”

Wednesday is an iconic character from the classic spooky film, “The Addams Family.” In November, Netflix is releasing “Wednesday,” starring Jenna Ortega. Despite the new show not releasing until then, Wednesday would make an excellent Halloween costume this year. You simply need braids and a black shirt with a white collar to complete this legendary look.
“Wednesday” will be released on Nov. 23 on Netflix.
5. Tina, “The Bob’s Burgers Movie”

Tina from “Bob’s Burgers” has been a beloved character since 2011. With the release of the first “Bob’s Burgers” feature film, this would be a fun costume to try out this Halloween. Tina’s trademark look can be completed with glasses, a blue shirt, and a blue skirt.
“The Bob’s Burgers Movie” is available to stream on Hulu and HBO Max.
6. John Winchester and Mary Campbell, “The Winchesters”

In 2020, the long-lasting series “Supernatural” came to an end. Then this year, the prequel show “The Winchesters” premiered on the CW. “The Winchesters” tells the story of Dean and Sam Winchester’s parents, John (Drake Rodger) and Mary (Meg Donnelly). This simple couple’s costume is perfect for the last minute. The pairing of a leather jacket and flannel is an easy costume to fall back on.
New episodes of “The Winchesters” premiere Tuesdays at 8/7 central on the CW.
7. Dream, “The Sandman”

Dream (Tommy Sturridge) is a dark and gritty character from Netflix’s show “Sandman.” If you have a long black jacket and some eyeliner, this is an easy DIY costume. All that’s left to find is a raven!
“The Sandman” is available to stream on Netflix.
