Everything We Know About ‘Beautiful Disaster’

Were you taken with Jamie McGuire’s novel? Are you a fan of bad boy/good girl romances? Did you like the “After” movies and want to see similar films? Well, this is for you! Based on the novel by Jamie McGuire comes an enduring romance starring Dylan Sprouse and Virginia Gardner, “Beautiful Disaster.”

This movie will follow the colliding journeys of Abby Abernathy (Virginia Gardner)  and Travis Maddox (Dylan Sprouse) when they meet in college. Abby appears to be the type of “good girl” who distances herself from troubled boys. On the other hand, Travis Maddox seems to be more of a lady killer, notorious for his one-night stands and fighting abilities.

Yet, after laying eyes on Abby, his world is flipped upside down and Travis is determined to make her his. Abby makes it clear that she has no interest in him although she has a yearning passion for the tattooed bad boy somewhere deep down. Failing to cave to the other’s desires, Abby and Travis make a deal.

Travis proposes that if he loses his next fight, he will cease his player habits for a month. But, if Travis wins, Abby will have to stay with him for a month. Believing that Travis has little chance of winning, Abby agrees to the deal. Who will win the bet?

You may recognize these actors from their favored roles. Dylan Sprouse is greatly known for his work in Disney’s “Suite Life on Deck” and has even played a part in “After We Collided.” Virginia Gardner is no less of a success from starring in films such as “All the Bright Places” and the newly released film “Fall.”

With such a large following, many have high expectations for the film. It is no surprise that the film has spared no expense in appointing director Roger Kumble. Kumble is notorious for his role in producing movies such as “After We Collided,” “Just Friends,” and “Cruel Intentions.” An essential detail of the movie to keep in mind is its R rating. According to IMDb, this is due to language, sexual content, teen drinking, and some violence.

The wait is almost over for hopeless romantics. “Beautiful Disaster” will be released in theaters on April 12 in the United States. Tickets are on sale now!
