Apple TV+ has slowly become the best streaming service to watch, with shows ranging from comedy to drama. With the vast array of genres and exceptional production quality in each series, many Apple TV+ viewers have continued to return to the platform for new TV show debuts. The award-winning series “Ted Lasso” is an excellent example of that as this week marks the show’s third anniversary. In celebration of “Ted Lasso’s” anniversary, I created a list consisting of the five other Apple TV+ original series to stream right now:
1. “Acapulco”

With the summer heat still very much prevalent right now, “Acapulco” is the perfect show to watch this season as it will make you feel like you are on your own mini vacation. The series is a rags-to-riches story about how young Máximo Gallardo (Enrique Arrizon) accepts his dream job at Las Colina, the hottest resort in Acapulco, Mexico. He initially thought his new position would be smooth sailing. However, between his crush on the receptionist Julia (Camila Perez) and wanting better for himself, Máximo realizes that working at Las Colinas is far more complicated than he thought. From the beautiful storyline to the talented cast, this series is full of warmth and charm that will leave you wanting to binge-watch the entire series. Seasons one and two of
“Acapulco” are available to watch on Apple TV+.
2. “Truth Be Told”

If you’ve been looking for a nail-biting murder mystery show to stream, “Truth Be Told” is one series you don’t want to miss. The series revolves around Oakland journalist Poppy Parnell (Octavia Spencer), who reopens a 1999 murder case after finding new evidence that suggests the man she helped put behind bars was wrongly convicted. Upon this realization, she restarts her true crime podcast that made her famous from her previous case to rediscover who did the 1999 murder. With the amazing performance from Spencer and the supporting cast, you will be hanging on the edge of your seat waiting to discover who has committed the crime.
All three “Truth Be Told” seasons are available to stream on Apple TV+.
3. “The Morning Show”

“The Morning Show” was one of the first Apple TV+ offerings that showcased what the streaming platform was capable of. So, of course, I had to include it on the list. The series follows a fictional morning news co-anchor Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston), whose on-air partner Mitch Kessler (Steve Carell) is fired amid a sexual misconduct scandal. The unexpected scandal leads Alex to fight for her job as a top news anchor while sparking a rivalry with her new on-air partner Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon). This intense series captures the cutthroat world of morning news in a shocking and highly entertaining way that will put the audience on an emotional rollercoaster while watching.Seasons one and two of “The Morning Show” are available to stream on Apple TV+.
4. “Loot”
In any role Maya Rudolph plays, she always brings charm and humor to her character. A great example of this is Rudolph’s role in “Loot.” This series centers around Molly (Maya Rudolph), who’s been married to tech billionaire John Novak (Adam Scott) for two decades. However, she discovers her husband is cheating on her and immediately files for divorce, resulting in her receiving $87 billion in a settlement. After traveling around the world to cope with her divorce, she decides to reengage with her forgotten charitable foundation to reconnect with the real world and try to find herself. With the amazing cast consisting of Rudolph, Ron Funches and Michaela Jaė Rodriguez, you can’t help but smile and laugh while watching the show, resulting in you wanting more of this amazing ensemble.
Season one of “Loot” is currently available to stream on Apple TV+.
5. “Swagger”

If you love the game of basketball, “Swagger” is the perfect show for you to add to your watchlist. The series follows Jace Carson (Isaiah Hill), a star player who is among the top-ranked youth basketball players in the region. To further reach his dream of going pro, Jace joins a training program developed by Ike (O’Shea Jackson Jr.), a former star player turned youth basketball coach. The two characters build a close relationship as Ike mentors Jace through navigating issues on and off the court. This series does an excellent job of highlighting real-life issues among young athletes in a beautiful and emotional manner that will leave you in awe.
Seasons one and two of “Swagger” are available to watch on Apple TV+.
