The 2000’s was a decade full of drama and romance. With so many stories to tell, it was hard to choose just a few. Here are my picks for the greatest TV love stories of the 2000’s.
- Clark and Lois (Smallville)
For anyone who knows anything about Superman, this epic love story is nothing new. With so many seasons leading up to their inevitable coupling the suspense nearly killed us. Erica Durance and Tom Welling portrayed Lois and Clark’s story with outstanding chemistry.
- Joey and Pacey (Dawson’s Creek)
Despite the series being named after Dawson, Pacey is the one who ultimately steals Joey’s heart — after the feud over her nearly breaks their friendship apart. Lucky for me, I was team Pacey all along.
- Cole and Phoebe (Charmed 1998)
If someone said this relationship was toxic considering one of them is literally a demon, well they would be right. With that being said, the show was made to be a fantasy and that is exactly what their romance is. Although Phoebe and Cole’s love wasn’t meant to last, their magic will live on forever.
- Brooke and Julian (One Tree Hill)
Brooke had searched for so long to find her perfect match and when she finally found it in sexy screenwriter Julian Baker, we were over the moon. Sorry, but no one can compete with this beautiful and talented duo — not even Nathan and Haley.
- Chuck and Blair (Gossip Girl)
It was a long journey up and down the Upper East Side for these two, but let’s just say these rich kids were made for each other. The series finale featuring their classy Central Park wedding ceremony is a moment I will always remember.
- Piper and Leo (Charmed 1998)
Since mentioning Cole and Phoebe without mentioning Piper and Leo would just feel wrong, Leo and Piper are taking the next spot on the list. Besides, if they can survive several near death experiences and Leo being “taken away” by the elders a number of times, then there is certainly hope for the rest of us.
- Jim and Pam (The Office)
Arguably one of the most well-known TV couples to date, Jim and Pam are the real deal. Due to their down to earth and humble nature, they are so easy to love and relate to. Plus, the way they care for each other sets a good example for us to follow.
- Betty and Daniel (Ugly Betty)
This may have been a love story that took a while to bloom, but that only makes it all the more special. After years of being a player and losing his wife to cancer, Daniel finally made the right choice — his future was always meant to be spent with Betty.
- Nathan and Haley (One Tree Hill)
Between getting married as teenagers, Nathan playing in the NBA and dealing with a psycho Nanny, this couple has had anything but a normal relationship. Somehow they made it last and even had an adorable son, Jamie Scott.
- Dan and Serena (Gossip Girl)
Another CW fan favorite, Dan Humphrey and Serena van der Woodson are one-of-a-kind. After meeting at a fancy hotel back in high school, they dated on-and-off for many years and eventually got married — oh and their parents were married once too, weird right?
